About Kvikna

History

Kvikna was established in 2008 by four software developers with 20 years of experience designing technical software. Since then, we have grown to a team of 29 with expertise in engineering, math, physics, quality management, project management, and UI/UX design.

 

Base

Based in Reykjavik, Iceland, we are strategically located to assist international customers with technical product development. We currently service customers in the USA, the UK, Europe and Scandinavia. Employees of Kvikna have designed and implemented high quality, robust software products which are currently in use in over 50 countries.

 

Kvikna Companies

Kvikna is comprised of two companies, Kvikna Consulting ehf. and Kvikna Medical ehf. Kvikna Consulting collaborates with high-tech companies to create advanced custom solutions in various industries. Kvikna Medical is the home of our own innovative products in the field of neurology.

 

Alliances

Kvikna Consulting and Kvikna Medical are in a partnership with Norwegian industrial electronics supplier, Norbit.

Kvikna Medical is now part of Alliance Family of Companies, a leading provider of neurological, cardiological, and sleep diagnostic services in the U.S.

Kvikna Medical and Alliance have joined to establish a new identity – Stratus Solutions. Stratus Solutions is the creator of the innovative, cloud-based EEG solution, Stratus EEG.

Kvikna Consuling is supported in part with a grant from the Technology Development Fund for the project "Automatic anti-roll tank for boats". The project is a collaboration between Kvikna Consulting and Trefjar in Hafnarfjörður.

 

Accolades

Kvikna won the top award for “outstanding growth” from the Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise (SA) in 2015, as well as an honorable mention in 2017.

Kvikna is a certified silver application development partner of Microsoft.
